Abstract

Exacum tetragonum Roxb. (Gentianaceae) is an endemic plant to peninsular India and reported first time here from Ananthagiri grass lands of Telangana state. The new record highlights the restricted distribution, occurs in only grass lands of Ananthagiri hills. Additional taxonomical information and photographs from field collections are provided.
